Sucked in again! One day I was channel surfing and I happened by while Oscar Blandi was on HSN. Any Allure magazine reader has become familiar with these "stylist to the stars" and their products so I was curious. I watched longer than I should have and of course, I was sold. I went online and got the products.

I was particularly smitten with the Luce, an in-shower hair glossing treatment. I sounded easy to use and quick, plus the host raved about how great it was (naturally) and how glossy it made your hair. Being a naturally curly-haired girl who pretty much does every mean trick to her hair (process, color, highlight, straighten, hot curl, etc.), I have dry hair. I needed this product.

I got them and felt that familiar pang of excitement as I was about to try something new. Unfortunately, after using it (I followed the directions religiously), my hair felt the same as before I used it. I just figured I got suckered by yet another product and raving testimonials on the shopping channel.

Since it was not exactly cheap, I could not just pitch it and I was determined to make it work. This time I left it on longer (about 10 minutes) and then I PARTIALLY rinsed it applied a favoritout. Over what was left, I put a good conditioner and let it all stay on my head for about two minutes, then gave my locks a final rinse. Whew! I really saw a difference this time! I have used this product several times in the same way and find it works best with my special method. Everyone's hair is different, but if you've had similar results, try it again and experiment.

I've used it once again since the last time and followed the same program: wash, Luce, PARTIAL rinse, condition, final rinse. This worked again. I say this product's a winner. I would absolutely re-purchase.

Oscar Blandi Curl Serum: I hate crunchy, over-defined curls and prefer soft waves on the days I don't tug my curly hair into straight-haired submission. This stuff delivers. I use it often, although I admit I had to give it a couple of try-outs before finding how it best works for me (a little goes a long way and it's best when mixed with a shining gloss or serum).

Olio de Jasmine: I use this everyday. The smell alone would make me want to buy this again. It is fantastic! Mild jasmine scent; mildly flowery, very intoxicating. This product works. It's a nice, light, non-greasy serum that makes your hair shiny, smooth and glossy. A great finishing shine serum. I'd probably buy this again, and that is something I rarely do because I'm usually disappointed with product results, so it's a winner for me!
