I am a fashion designer and am planning a show. How can I get companies to sponsor my event?

My daughter wants to be a fashion designer. My husband wants to discourage it because he thinks she won't get paid well or be able to find work.

I want to start a clothning line. I have a few ideas for my clothing but i wanted to hire a fashion designer to put my ideas into a line sheet and even help me design my clothing? I keep looking it up on google but i am not getting any quality answers.
